Meet Harriet, Macey's new South African Grass and Land Tortoise. Macey inherited this little guy (previously named "Fido") from a friend of ours, and has renamed HIM Harriet. Fortunately, there does not appear to be any identity crisis going on and Harriet has taken well to her new home. Within 10 minutes of being here she has been fed strawberries, been taken on a walk (with a leash I might add), has been sniffed by a large dog (Murphy), and has been kissed goodnight. Oh, and I might have accidentally dropped her on the front lawn but apparently she's not breakable! Harriet's first walk.....on a leash that is!
Harriet makes it to the curb....closely supervised by Murphy!
"Alright that's enough....what is this thing? Lunch perhaps?"
Harriet's picked up quite a pace.....for a toroise that is!
All tucked in a ready for bed, under his heat lamp and light.
