This weekend we were invited to stay in a friend's beach house on the Oregon Coast. Aside from it being on the beach, it was a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful vacation home that came equipped with a play room, swings hanging from oak trees, a trampoline, a play structure, bikes, scooters, and battery operated cars. Macey thought she was in childhood heaven from the moment we arrived. Although we went to the Newport Aquarium and the beach, Macey kept asking to "go back to Joanne's house." Murphy was also invited, and he couldn't have been more thrilled. The house has acres of beautiful landscaped lawn and and a backyard that runs into the river. As for me, I was very grateful for the opportunity to spend a relaxing weekend with my daughter. Oh, did I mention there was no cell phone reception at the house? It couldn't have been more perfect!
