Grandpa planted a tree for Macey during his visit, and instructed her to water it regularly and take good care of it. Macey has taken this job very seriously, and checks on her tree every day. She refuses to let me cut the tag off the tree, as she says, "Mommy, this tells me 'Dear Macey, I am your tree and I need water. Only you can water me and Murphy can't pee on me cause that will be so gross.'" I am certain Macey made some of that up, but who am I to discourage communication between her and her tree!
